• What is the difference between a CGWorkshop and a CGTOD?

    CGWorkshops allow you to have your work reviewed and get answers to your questions during the Workshop. You can also see the Instructor’s feedback on other students work and you can connect with other students. It’s very much a classroom environment, with a focus on group learning.

    When you work through a CGTOD you work alone. You can however view the work of some of the students who have previously done the course. The bonus with CGTODs is you can work through the training material at your own pace and schedule your training to fit around your work schedule.

  • Why do the prices of the CGTOD’s vary?

    Because CGTODs are drawn from real classes each one is slightly different. Every Instructor has a different style of teaching. Some CGTODs include a lot of text and resources while others have more video. In setting the price we take the variations into account and we’ve worked collaboration with the Instructor.

  • Do I need to download the videos?

    No, all CGTOD video material is streamed. Most CGTOD courses have weekly assets and reference files you will need to download to complete the practical work. You will need a broadband connection. We suggest a connection of 1.5Mbps or faster

  • How long will I have access to the course and training material?

    Course access is unlimited, we guarantee access to the course and training material for at least 6 months from your purchase date.

  • How can I see whether my connection is fast enough?

  • How big are the resource files?

    They vary enormously and some are quite large. Each week of each course has a single .zip file that you can download by hitting the ‘Download Resources’ button. We suggest you make sure you have are using a wired Internet connection when you are downloading

  • Do the Instructors get paid?

    Absolutely! We work in close partnership with our Instructors and split the proceeds of all CGTODs and CGWorkshops. By purchasing a CGTOD you are supporting the artists who are offering their time and expertise to help you improve your work.

  • Can I view the CGTods on a mobile device?

    You can view CGTODs in any web browser across a variety of devices. Very soon we will be releasing a free app that will allow CGTODs to be viewed on Apple tablet devices. We will let you know when the App is available.

  • If I have more than one CGTOD can I find them in one place?

    Yes, if you are logged into the CGTOD site just hit the MyCGTODs button and all your CGTODs will come up on the one page.

  • Can I share my login?

    No, Your access to CGTODs is for your personal use only.Your username and password is specific to you - you cannot share them with anyone else. All CGTOD training content is copyrighted. Distribution of private passwords and / or any part of any content will not be tolerated. Violation will result in termination of your account without refund. Offenders will be prosecuted under Federal law.

  • How do I know that the videos will stream reliably?

    All CGTOD videos are streamed from the cloud via a secure Vimeo link. We have thoroughly tested this service during the CGTOD development stage and are confident the service is reliable. If you have problems email us at and we will be back to you within 24 hours - at the latest.

  • I am having trouble downloading the resources file, what can I do?

    Sometimes this may happen if your download did not finish completely. You may need to download it again and wait a bit before opening the file. Make sure you have the correct software to open the file, i.e., WinRar or Stuffit Expander for .rar files etc.. Once you have all the up-to-date plug-ins and browser etc, restart your computer. Most CGTODs have a single zip file for each week and some of these files are large. If you have a slow or problematic Internet connection, try using a download manager that will allow you to resume the download if you lose connection. If you try all of this and it’s still not working email us at and we will get things sorted for you.
